Gbajabiamila backs Fuad Laguda for Surulere House of Reps seat at empowerment programme

Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, has thrown his weight behind Fuad Laguda, endorsing him as the ideal successor for the Surulere 1 Federal Constituency in the upcoming re-run election.

The endorsement took place during an empowerment programme organised by Gbajabiamila in Lagos, where over 50 vehicles were distributed to beneficiaries. Addressing attendees, Gbajabiamila expressed his support for Laguda, emphasising the need for a representative capable of carrying forward the constituency’s progress.

“In the impending re-run election, Surulere will choose its representative for the House of Representatives. While all aspirants are part of my political family, I believe Fuad Laguda stands out as the best choice. He has my endorsement, as well as that of the governor and party elders,” Gbajabiamila stated.

Drawing on his extensive legislative experience, Gbajabiamila emphasised Laguda’s capability to uphold Surulere’s achievements. “After over 20 years in the House of Representatives, I know the qualities needed for effective legislating. Laguda embodies those traits and can continue Surulere’s progress.”
