“In this much-anticipated second season, the cast welcomes two new additions: Tania Omotayo, a fashion entrepreneur, and Faith Morey, a former model and socialite. They will join the original cast, which includes the renowned Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, celebrity designer and stylist Toyin Lawani Adebayo, socialites, and businesswomen Chioma Ikokwu, Laura Ikeji-Kanu, and Mariam Timmer.”

“These fresh faces promise to inject an extra dose of glamour and drama into the show, which is already renowned for sparking conversations both on and off social media,” she added.

Oluwafunmi emphasized that the show, set against the vibrant backdrop of Lagos, guarantees a rollercoaster ride of emotions, friendships, celebrations, and rivalries among the cast. This season will also offer a deeper exploration of the housewives’ ambitions and personal triumphs.

Tania Omotayo, a 32-year-old wife and mother of one, spoke about her decision to make her reality TV debut: “I joined ‘The Real Housewives of Lagos’ because my life has been so public, not because I’ve willingly shared much of it. It’s an opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone, share a piece of my life, and challenge myself with something new.”

Faith Morey, a former basketball player turned supermodel, designer, and actress, also shared her motivation: “I’ve always been a fan of reality TV. I’m typically a private person, but for some reason, I felt compelled to experience it. I also wanted to connect with other hardworking women. And of course, the franchise needed a touch of Faith Morey. I’m the missing piece of the puzzle on the show.”

Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, expressed the franchise’s long-term commitment, citing the tremendous success of the first season: “The Real Housewives of Lagos shattered records on our platform and dominated conversations on and off social media throughout its run. So, it’s an obvious decision to bring it back. Beyond the show’s entertainment value, RHOLagos’ cultural impact can’t be ignored. The feedback from fans shows that the show significantly contributed to putting one of Africa’s most important cities and its vibrant culture on the map. We are thrilled to do it all over again, even bigger this season.”

Darey Art-Alade, the Chief Creative Director of Livespot 360, the producers of “The Real Housewives of Lagos,” stated, “This season offers a genuine look at ‘reality.’ In addition to addressing real-life challenges faced by women, particularly African women, such as balancing family and career, managing relationships, and dealing with societal pressures, we also tackle important issues related to health. Of course, we haven’t forgotten to serve up plenty of drama, as is customary.”
