In a groundbreaking move, the Lagos State Examinations Board has urged both public and approved private schools in the region to utilise its online portal to access the freshly released 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results.
According to Mr. Fatai Bakare, the Public Affairs Officer, this announcement, which represents a historic change, gives educational institutions in the state immediate access to real-time results.
Bakare highlighted that this progressive initiative seeks to alleviate the traditional inconvenience of physically collecting results from the board, thereby reducing associated delays.
He unveiled the board’s portal, accessible via https://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng, allowing schools to log in using their default/existing usernames and passwords, initially provided during student/pupil registration.
Effective as of Friday, September 8, the provided link offers a convenient avenue for schools to access and print candidates’ results online. Furthermore, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, shared that the resit examination for BECE is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, October 5, to be conducted at designated centres throughout the state.
