Men of the Lagos State Police Command came to the rescue of a homeless mother who gave birth by the roadside on Friday morning.
According to the police in a tweet on Friday morning, their officers in Ikate Elegushi received a distress call requesting for the rescue of a homeless mother of four who had given birth to a baby girl by the roadside.
The tweet further said the police officers got to the scene and evacuated the new born and mother with her four children to Eti-Osa Primary Health Care Centre.
The woman and baby are reported to be in good condition.
