Polo luxury group supports Lagos communities

Polo Luxury Group, a leading international lifestyle company in Nigeria, says it will continue to support societal development during the global coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.

Polo Executive Director in Nigeria, Ms Jennifer Obayuwana, said in a statement on Monday that the passionate drive was one of many social responsibility efforts embarked on by Polo group.

Obayuwana said that the international luxury brand group was supporting frontline workers and vulnerable households in various communities in Lagos State with food parcels during COVID-19 lockdown,

“It is focused on cushioning the devastating effects of COVID-19 to the daily livelihood of individuals within and beyond their immediate business environ,” she said.

According to her, many residents within Makoko, Ebute-Metta, Ilaje, Mushin, Idi-araba, Ishaga, IjuAjuwon, Muri-Okunola, Agege and Ikeja have so far benefited from the goodwill of the group.

She added that the group was committed to supporting indigent Nigerians and government’s numerous efforts to make them comfortable.

“We will continue to provide community relief and support throughout the duration of the lockdown in Lagos State.

“This is by embracing empathy and providing much needed relief materials to those in dire need.

She thanked the frontline workers for their unflinching bravery, professionalism and unrelenting efforts in caring for the sick and for their efforts in combating the spread of the deadly virus.

Obayuwana urged other business institutions to join in the efforts by also reaching out to members of their communities affected by this global crisis.

She commended all key stakeholders at the forefront of combating the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria and worldwide for their courage and service to humanity.(NAN)
