Cute Kids Haven Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has reaffirmed its dedication to promoting the rights of girls, emphasizing their education, health, and overall well-being.
Founder Ms. Abiodun Abegunde expressed pride in joining the global community to celebrate the valuable contributions of girls and to spotlight the challenges they continue to face.
“Girl Child Day is a special occasion dedicated to raising awareness about the obstacles girls encounter worldwide, including limited access to education, early marriage, gender-based violence, and health disparities,” Abegunde said.
She further noted that the day also recognizes the essential role girls play in strengthening families, communities, and societies.
“Empowering girls is not only a matter of human rights but also a catalyst for sustainable development,” she added.
“On this Girl Child Day, we renew our dedication to ensuring every girl has access to quality education, healthcare, and a safe environment where she can grow, lead, and succeed.”
The foundation urged governments, communities, parents, and individuals to collaborate in breaking down barriers and supporting initiatives that nurture and protect girls globally.
