Lagos State Government denies involvement in Computer Village demolition

The Lagos State Government firmly distanced itself from the demolition at Computer Village in Ikeja, clarifying that the action was unrelated to their jurisdiction.

Speaking on the matter, Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, emphasised that the structure in question belonged to the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), which had authorised its demolition.

In a statement released on Sunday in Lagos, Omotoso dismissed the spreading misinformation that linked the Lagos State Government to the demolition as the work of opportunistic ethnic chauvinists.

He underscored their attempt to propagate false narratives to serve their divisive agendas, labelling such actions as baseless propaganda that would not succeed in fragmenting the unity among Lagosians and residents.
