Power Minister assures Nigerians of stable power supply for festive season celebrations

The Minister of Power, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, reaffirmed the commitment to ensure uninterrupted power supply across Nigeria during the Christmas and New Year celebrations, offering reassurance to citizens.

In a statement titled “Fostering Unity and Progress,” Mr. Bolaji Tunji, Special Adviser for Strategic Communication and Public Relations to the Minister, conveyed Adelabu’s message emphasising unity and compassion among Nigerians during the festive period.

“In the spirit of Christmas, I extend heartfelt felicitations to Christians and fellow Nigerians. May this season of love and sacrifice inspire unity and compassion among us,” expressed Adelabu.

Reflecting on the significance of the season, Adelabu urged Nigerians to emulate the spirit of selflessness embodied by Jesus Christ and encouraged unity across religious beliefs.

“Unity is paramount for our nation’s development, thriving in an environment of peace and tranquillity,” the minister emphasised, underscoring the importance of national unity.

Adelabu also conveyed congratulations to President Bola Tinubu and urged unwavering support for the government’s collective advancement efforts.

Highlighting the ministry’s initiatives, Adelabu assured citizens of ongoing endeavours to bolster the nation’s power supply, recognising electricity’s fundamental role in daily life and festivities.

“Your comfort and enjoyment during this yuletide season are paramount, and we are dedicated to making substantial progress in delivering an enhanced power experience for all,” Adelabu reiterated, emphasising the ministry’s commitment to improved power infrastructure.

Closing the message, Adelabu extended warm wishes for a joyous Christmas celebration and a prosperous New Year, looking ahead to 2024.
