Lagos Court arraigns twins for assaulting EKEDC staff

Hassan and Hussien Nurudeen were brought before the Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on a three-count charge of assault, malicious damage, and attack against two Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) employees.

The twin defendants, whose addresses remain unknown, entered a plea of not guilty to the charges levelled against them.

According to ASP Clement Okuoimose, the incident occurred on November 27, around 1:35 p.m. at Evangelist Bello David Street in Aradagun, Badagry, where the defendants allegedly used a stone and stick to assault Lamidi Akeem, an EKEDC staff, causing injury to his left eye.

“The defendants were also accused of damaging a Samsung Galaxy A41 phone valued at N153,000, which belonged to another EKEDC staff, Enemwo Clement,” stated Okuoimose, adding that both EKEDC staff members were assaulted by the defendants.
