The Nigerian Super Falcons showcased their prowess in a resounding 5-0 win over Cape Verde in the first leg of the 2024 Women Africa Cup of Nations final round qualifier held in Abuja.

Cape Verde’s coach, Silvenia Nedio, acknowledged Nigeria’s dominance in African football, expressing hope for the return leg in Cape Verde. “Everything can happen in seconds in Cape Verde, and that we know,” Nedio remarked, hinting at their strategic plans for the upcoming match.
With the second leg scheduled in Praia, the capital of Cape Verde, on Dec. 5, both teams are preparing for another intense clash, aiming to secure a spot in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco in 2024.
