The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) welcomed Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, the Director-General, and 37 other accomplished individuals into its esteemed Fellowship during a ceremony held in Lagos.
This elite group comprises eminent figures from the advertising and marketing communication industry, recognised for their unwavering commitment and dedication in advancing the realms of advertising and marketing communications.
Addressing journalists at the induction ceremony, Dr. Fadolapo expressed the significance of this fellowship within the spectrum of his multiple professional affiliations. He emphasised the added responsibility and dedication incumbent upon ARCON Fellows in fostering advertising practices within Nigeria.
Chairman of the 2023 Fellowship Screening Committee, Chief Emmanuel Ajufo, underscored the meticulous selection process, highlighting the chosen Fellows’ minimum 15 years of dedicated service in advertising and marketing communication.
Mr. Tunji Adeyinka, speaking on behalf of the inductees, including mentors and outstanding industry peers, expressed humility in being recognised among such esteemed individuals. He commended the diligence of the Fellowship Committee, led by Chief Emmanuel Ajufo, for their thorough work.
Adeyinka encouraged all ARCON members to mark their calendars for the upcoming National Advertising Conference in December.
The ceremony’s highlight was the administration of the induction oath for the new Fellows, a moment that marked the formal inclusion of industry stalwarts like Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, Joe-Eugene Onyenyili-Onuorah, Alh. Ibrahim Yusuf Yakasi, and other distinguished professionals into the prestigious ARCON Fellowship.
