In a strategic move, Leadway Assurance is teaming up with Leytro, a prominent insurtech company, to introduce user-friendly, cost-effective, and incentive-driven insurance policies tailored for fleet managers and drivers.
Umashime Oguzor-Doghro, a representative of Leadway Assurance, shared this in a statement released on Tuesday in Lagos, highlighting the significance of this alliance. She stated that this partnership would leverage Leadway’s extensive industry knowledge and Leytro’s technological expertise to unveil a pioneering pay-as-you-drive insurance model marked by flexibility and affordability.
Oguzor-Doghro further explained that fleet managers would now have the convenience of managing their insurance payments on the go through a dedicated mobile app supported by mobile telematics intelligence.
The Leadway official pointed out that the mobile app incorporated telematics intelligence to continuously evaluate the driving behaviours of policyholders, providing businesses with the tools to optimise their fleet management strategies and make insurance payments seamlessly via the app. The approach encourages a pay-as-you-go system with equitable premiums and incentives for safe driving.
“In today’s rapidly evolving landscape driven by technological advancements, forward-thinking organizations must lead the market in evolving innovative solutions and collaborations in the ecosystem. Hence, our timely partnership with Leytro. We are thrilled to join forces with Leytro to introduce this innovative insurance solution for fleet managers. Mr. Nathaniel Bubu, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Leytro, also expressed the significance of this partnership. He emphasised that the collaboration between Leytro and Leadway marked a major milestone in harnessing technology to drive change while deeply understanding human behaviour.
Bubu stressed that Leytro was committed to revolutionizing the insurance sector through advanced telematics technology, providing businesses with a more personalized and cost-effective insurance solution that fundamentally changes how small business owners manage their fleets.
“We strongly believe in rewarding responsible drivers and through our cash reward programme for safe driving, we aim to incentivize prudent behaviour on the road. This not only benefits drivers but also contributes to creating a safer driving environment for all road users,” noted Bubu.
