Lagos police rescues victim from “one-chance” syndicate

The Lagos State Police Command say they have caught two members of a gang whose speciality was robbing unknowing passengers with their cars.

The command’s official spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, reported the arrest on his verified Twitter account on Thursday.

Hundeyin named the culprits as Folashade Sholagbe, a woman of 36, and Seun Oke, a man of 29.

He said that the suspects were caught on Thursday in the Ikeja area of the state after a victim called the police.

“Eagle-eyed officers of Iju Division arrested the suspects following their victim’s scream for help,” he said.

The police spokesman said that the suspects used to pick up unsuspecting travellers in order to steal their valuables.

“The suspects specialised in picking their victims with their Corolla car at 7up by Toll gate,” he said.
