Disregard any information you may have heard regarding having to pay N5,000 in order to take the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) practicals in 2023, according to the Lagos State Examinations Board’s advice to relevant parties.
This information was provided in a statement that was given on Monday in Lagos by Mr. Orunsolu Adebayo, Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board.
An impostor, as stated by the board, is the one responsible for spreading the erroneous information.
“The Lagos State Examinations Board wishes to alert members of the public about an impostor purportedly acting on behalf of the board by requesting for N5,000 for the year 2023 BECE practicals.
“The board hereby states categorically that her registration for year 2023 BECE is online, and no individual is authorised to collect money on its behalf, and she does not charge for practicals separately,” it said.
The board has encouraged members of the public not to engage in any kind of financial transaction with any individual who is purported to be acting on its behalf.
