Sanwo-Olu elated as Lagos Govt discharges 5 more recovered COVID-19 patients

Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Thursday announced the recovery and discharge of another five COVID-19 patients, bringing to 90 the number of discharged patients in Lagos.

Sanwo-Olu, through his verified Twitter handle, said that the patients were three females and two males, who had recovered fully and tested negative twice consecutively to COVID-19.

The governor said that they were discharged from the Mainland Infectious Diseases Hospital to reunite with the society.

He appealed to residents to stay at home, practice social distancing and observe the highest possible personal and hand hygiene.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Lagos is still the epicentre of Nigeria’s COVID-19 infections with 235 of the overall 407 confirmed cases.

Data from the Africa Centre for Disease Control (Africa CDC) shows that 52 Africa countries had reported 17, 247 cases, 910 deaths, and 3,546 recoveries of COVID-19. (NAN)
