Caritas Communications Limited, a pioneer in energy-focused reputation management and strategic corporate communications consulting in Africa, has announced a significant leadership transition as part of its long-term growth and succession plan.
Effective August 1, 2025, Chief Adedayo Ojo, the company’s visionary founder and Chief Executive Officer, assumes a new role as Chairman of the Board of Directors. The move signals a deliberate shift in the company’s leadership as it ushers in a new generation of executives to guide Caritas into its next phase.




Favour Akintan, formerly Group Head of Business Services and Operations Manager, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer and Acting CEO. With over 12 years of experience in operations, integrated marketing, and business leadership, Akintan will lead a refreshed executive team tasked with deepening Caritas’ industry footprint and client impact.
Joining her in the new leadership are:
- Adedayo David Odulaja, appointed Director of Research, Policy and Programmes. A journalist and digital media strategist with expertise in policy development and strategic communication, Odulaja will spearhead research and policy initiatives aligned with client goals.
- Fisayo Ayodele, named Director of Strategic Communication. Ayodele brings extensive experience in corporate communications and is charged with driving innovation in media strategy and operational storytelling.
- Kazeem Afolabi, a pioneer staff member of Caritas, becomes Associate Director, Human Resources and Administration. Afolabi will also serve as Board Affairs Manager, overseeing corporate services and governance support.
Since its founding in 2009, Caritas Communications has evolved into one of Nigeria’s most respected reputation management firms, serving a diverse client base across both public and private sectors in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa.
Speaking on the transition, Chief Ojo expressed optimism about the company’s future. “As I step into the role of Chairman, I remain deeply committed to our mission of delivering flawless reputation management services. I have full confidence that the new leadership team’s creativity, energy, and fresh perspective will usher in an exciting new chapter.”
Chief Ojo also extended gratitude to the outgoing Chairman, Mr. John Addeh, whose stewardship has provided stability over the years. He praised the entire board and longstanding clients for their support through Caritas’ journey.
