The disappearance of Jimi Folarin, a 43-year-old realtor, has sent shockwaves through the community of Imota, Ikorodu. Folarin was last seen on Wednesday at 4 pm when he left his house to inspect properties for a client. His sister, Iremide Omowunmi, reported that he hasn’t been reachable since.
“At about 4 PM, my brother called me to say that the clients he was waiting for had contacted him to come and inspect the properties. This was exactly at 4 pm. Around 5 pm, I tried calling him to see if he had arrived, but although the phone rang, he did not pick up.”
The situation escalated when a strange number called Folarin’s friend, asked who he wanted to speak to, and then abruptly hung up.
“This morning, I called that strange number, and the person answered. But when I asked for Folarin, my brother, they abruptly ended the call. I have reported the case to the Gbogbo Police Station in Ikorodu,” Omowunmi added.
The community is now calling for urgent action from authorities to locate Folarin and ensure his safety. The case has also highlighted the need for improved safety measures for realtors and property inspectors in the area.
