Lagos State invests N10 million in youth entrepreneurship at Amplifier Business Clinic

The Lagos State Government has made a significant investment in youth entrepreneurship by setting aside a grant of 10 Million naira to support young business owners.

This initiative was highlighted during the Amplifier Business Clinic, organised by the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development to empower young entrepreneurs.

The event, held in Alausa to commemorate the Y2024 International Youth Day, featured comprehensive training sessions designed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge for business growth.

State Commissioner Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende emphasised that the Business Development Training and Grant Contest aims to transform business ideas into successful, sustainable enterprises, contributing to both personal success and broader economic development.

The Permanent Secretary, Pharm (Mrs) Oke-Osanyintolu, noted that the Clinic provides ongoing mentorship and coaching, aligning with the THEMES Plus Development Agenda to ensure inclusive growth and youth employment in Lagos State.

Lead Consultant Mr. Boboye Adeniji Oluwafemi revealed that out of 350 applicants, 79 participants were selected for the training. Facilitators, including Life Coach Mr. Osarume Akenzua and Youth Development Expert Mr. Abiodun Akala, covered topics such as entrepreneurship DNA, storytelling for business growth, leadership development, financial management, and legal compliance.
