The Lagos State Police Command has initiated a probe into the demise of an unidentified woman, discovered deceased in a hotel room, according to Police Public Relations Officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
Confirming the incident on Sunday, Hundeyin disclosed that the hotel manager reported the matter at the Trinity Police Station around 6:17 p.m. on Friday.
Reportedly, during a routine check of the hotel rooms at 8:00 p.m. on the same day, the manager stumbled upon the lifeless body of the woman lying on a bed.
Hundeyin detailed the police response, mentioning that a team of detectives promptly visited the scene, cordoned it off, and conducted photographic documentation of the room and the deceased.
He revealed that the deceased’s body had been moved to the morgue while striving to identify and notify her relatives.
The focus of the investigation, Hundeyin indicated, revolves around tracing the identity of an unidentified man who allegedly lodged with the deceased and subsequently absconded from the scene.
