President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra following the death of his father, Pa Simeon Soludo. In a statement, Tinubu described the late Pa Soludo as a dignified and charitable family man and prayed for his eternal rest.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, also expressed his sympathies, urging Governor Soludo, the Soludo family, and the people of Anambra to honour the late nonagenarian’s good name.
On behalf of the good people of Lagos State, Governor Sanwo-Olu said, “I sympathise with my colleague, Governor Charles Soludo, on the demise of his beloved father, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo. The elderly and wise counsel of Pa Soludo would be sorely missed, not only by his family but by the entire people of Umueze, Isuofia community, and the entire people of Anambra State.”
Late Pa Soludo, known as Ichie Akukananwa 1 of Isuofia in Aguata Local Government Area, died at the age of 92 in the early hours of November 6. He is survived by seven sons, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Further information will be communicated to the public in due course.
