A nationwide search is underway as police in Lagos intensify efforts to apprehend Benjamin Nnanyereugo, a prime suspect in the tragic death of his 21-year-old girlfriend. The incident, which unfolded on the 13th of July, transpired within the confines of Nnanyereugo’s residence in Oral Estate, Ajah, Lagos.
In a press statement issued this Tuesday in Ikeja, Police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, formally announced Nnanyereugo’s status as a wanted individual. Exhausting all available avenues to secure his cooperation, the authorities have taken the unprecedented step of declaring him a fugitive.
Nnanyereugo, a 26-year-old male of approximately 5.9 feet in height, hails from Abia and bears a dark complexion. Fluent in English, Igbo, and Pidgin English, he has managed to elude capture thus far.
Hundeyin urged anyone with information on Nnanyereugo’s whereabouts to promptly contact their nearest police station or dial 0803 688 5727, underscoring the importance of this matter in their ongoing investigation.
