LASTMA bans use of uniforms, kits by film and skit makers

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has banned the use of its uniforms, kits, and other accoutrements by film and skit makers.

The General Manager of LASTMA, Bolaji Oreagba, said the ban was necessary after he saw a fully kitted actress with a LASTMA uniform in a Yoruba film titled “Gbogbo Lowo.”

Oreagba said that he was concerned about the way in which film and skit makers portray LASTMA officers in their work. He said that they often portray LASTMA officers in a demeaning and unprofessional manner.

Oreagba also said that the use of LASTMA uniforms by film and skit makers without permission is illegal. He said that anyone caught using a LASTMA uniform without permission will be prosecuted.

The ban has been welcomed by some LASTMA officers, who say that it is long overdue. They say that the use of LASTMA uniforms by film and skit makers has damaged the reputation of the agency.

The ban has also been welcomed by some members of the public, who say that it is a necessary step to protect the public from impersonation.

It is not yet clear how the ban will be enforced. However, LASTMA has said that it will be working with the police to crack down on violators.

The ban is the latest in a series of measures taken by LASTMA to improve its image. In recent months, the agency has also launched a new training programme for its officers and introduced a new code of conduct.
