The Lagos State Police Command detained a 26-year-old man on suspicion of impersonating a medical practitioner.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed this on Saturday via his verified Twitter profile.
According to him, the fake medical doctor has been practising since January 2022.
“The suspect faked a medical licence in his name and has been practising as a medical doctor since Jan. 2022,” he said.

Hundeyin stated that the perpetrator was apprehended based on information provided by vigilant individuals.
“Commendation goes to public-spirited Lagosians who spotted him and promptly informed the Police.
“You have saved lives,” the spokesperson said.
He urged inhabitants of the state to “say something when you see something.”
