Woman discovered dead in Ikorodu motel

The dead body of a woman was found on Saturday in one of the rooms of a guest home in Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos State.

When speaking with newsmen on Monday, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesman for Lagos State, verified the discovery.

According to Hundeyin, the guest house manager informed the Ikorodu police about the incident.

According to the manager’s report, the woman, who was about 46 years old, rode a motorcycle with a partner who was just known as Alfa Sule to the guest home on Friday.

According to Hundeyin, the manager discovered the dead body of the aforementioned woman on Saturday about 6 a.m., but Alfa Sule was nowhere to be seen.

“There were no marks of violence on the woman; the said Alfa Sule was nowhere to be found, but abandoned his Bajaj motorcycle.

“The police visited the scene and found the corpse with foam oozing out of her nostril.

“Photographs of the scene and body were taken before the corpse was removed and deposited at Ikorodu General Hospital morgue for autopsy,’’ he said.

Hundeyin claimed that while efforts were being made to apprehend the evading Alfa Sule, the guest home manager was supporting the police with their investigation.

He further stated that the matter would be given to the State Criminal Investigation Department’s Homicide unit in Panti, Yaba for additional investigation.
