PDP guber candidate Jandor campaigns in Epe division for 2023

Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), the Lagos PDP governorship candidate, visited Epe division on Sunday to continue his campaigning and reassure the locals of his commitment to running government in the fear of God.

In an interactive meeting with the League of Imams and Alfas in the Epe Local Government neighbourhood of Ikosi Ejinrin, Adediran stated that his goal was to free the state’s citizens from oppression.

If elected in 2023, Adediran’s government, he claimed, would transform state government.

“I am assuring you that our government will be run with the fear of God.

“I will run people-oriented government and provide quality education for our children,” Adediran, the Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, said.

Alhaji Abdulrahman Olatunji, the League’s president, urged eligible voters to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and cast their votes to elect the administration that will look out for their interests.

“We are satisfied with what you told us today and we want to believe that you will fulfil the promises made,” he said.

At the PDP’s secretariat in Agbowa-Ikosi, Adediran addressed party members and supporters, saying that prospective governors needed to be conversant with the states they intended to lead.

He claimed that in order to learn about the difficulties faced by every region, he made the decision to travel the 245 wards in the state.

If elected, Adediran promised to put the needs of the populace first and to spend money on security, infrastructure, education, and youth development.

“Our government will be for the masses. I have been to this place severally as a person. That is how I have toured the whole of Lagos State for seven years.

“Thank you for being worthy partners to our vision. We are building this together so that we can achieve together and benefit together,” he said.

Adediran begged voters to support PDP candidates in the federal and state elections, pleading with them not to sell their votes to money bags who would later try to purchase their conscience.

The candidate gave the non-indigenous people in Epe assurances that he would defend their interests and include them in government during another meeting.

“I will not take your sources of livelihood. I will rather support you. It will be our government.

“There will be no need to send your children to private schools. I will fix the public schools and give uniforms to your children, and the uniforms will be sewn by local tailors,” he said

Adediran continued by saying that in order to empower young people, he would make sure contractors hired 30% of them.

Adediran visited with traditional leaders, artisans associations, and other significant Epe Local Government stakeholders as part of his ongoing grassroots engagement tour.

Remember that Adediran and his running mate, Ms. Funke Akindele, started their ward tour on October 19 and have since met with a number of stakeholders and visited marketplaces to solicit support from vendors for their aspiration.

The campaign train has so far made stops in every ward in the local government areas of Alimosho, Badagry, Ojo, Amuwo-Odofin, and Lagos Mainland.
