FRSC warns Abuja-to-Lagos drivers to avoid Ekiti

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has urged motorists who are travelling via Ondo state from Abuja to Lagos to take either the Akure-Ondo-Ife-Ibadan or the Lagos-Ibadan-Ife-Ondo-Ore-Benin route. Both of these routes go through Ife, which is located in Osun State.

This information was provided by the Acting Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Dauda Biu, in a statement that was released on Tuesday in Abuja by the Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO), Mr. Bisi Kazeem.

Those travelling from the western portion of the country through the state to the northern half of the country were also instructed by Biu to use the same path.

He stated that the caution had become necessary as a result of the fact that the Igbara-Oke-Ilara-Mokin route is currently completely blocked.

“However, in the interim, operatives, as well as logistics, have been adequately deployed to ensure speedy removal of the obstructions on that route for ease of movement.
