Lucky Osuya, 64, was charged with hemp trafficking by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Friday.
The defendant is facing charges at a Federal High Court in Lagos.
The charge is labelled FHC/L/590C/2022.
According to the NDLEA, the defendant committed the crime on September 18, in the Ikate area of Lagos State.

The defendant was accused of trafficking 230g of cannabis.
Cannabis, along with cocaine, heroin, and other psychotropic narcotics, is forbidden under the NDLEA Schedule, according to the agency.
Drug trafficking is a violation of Sections 11(b) and 11(d) of the NDLEA Act of 2004.
The defendant’s arraignment date has not yet been set.
