The Kwara contingent maintained their impressive run at the ongoing 19th edition of the Chief of Naval Staff Cup as they defeated their counterpart from Osun 3-0 on Wednesday to set up a quarter-final clash with Ekiti State.
Despite defeating Kano boys 3-0, the lads from Bauchi failed to reach the next round of the game as they surrendered the second ticket of group A to Osun State who will be facing Enugu in one of the last eight games billed for Thursday.
While Edo will be battling Oyo for one of the last four stage tickets, Kebbi State will also be looking for a way to scale through the hurdles of Rivers in another encounter billed for Kwara Football Academy.
In the female category, Kwara girls thrashed the Nigerian Navy Secondary School girls 5-0, while Ekiti, who will face Benue in the last group stage match on Thursday at the Queen School by 12 p.m, lost to Oyo State 3-0.
