Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would not be attending Sunday’s reception at Buckingham Palace for world leaders arriving ahead of Queen Elizabeth’s State Funeral.
Various reports had it that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had earlier been invited to the reception set to be hosted by King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort.
However, it is now reported that Harry and Meghan are no longer welcome, as the palace is reported as saying that the reception is “for working members of the royal family.”
Reports have it that Harry and Meghan only found out about the disinvite in the press.
Harry and Meghan being disinvited to the reception are the latest in a seemingly growing list of signs that there are mixed feelings about how much the royal family wants Harry and Meghan to take part in the queen’s official funeral plans.
It started with Meghan not being invited to join the royal family at Balmoral Castle in Scotland following the queen’s death.
