Bola Asiwaju Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was notably absent at the 62nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) which has kicked off at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The theme of this year’s NBA AGM tagged “BOLD Transitions” and its General Conference is expected to hold between August 19 and 26, with the opening ceremony which took place yesterday, Monday.
Dignitaries at the event included the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Labour Party presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi, Tinubu’s running mate, and Senator Kashim Shettima amongst others distinguished Nigerians.
The presence of the politicians rocked the auditorium as their supporters responded with rapturous applause and hails which got social media in an uproar.

Governors Solomon Lalong and Godwin Obaseki of Plateau and Edo states graced the event.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu was represented by the Lagos State Attorney General, Moyosore Onigbanjo, the Chief Judge of the state, Kazeem Alogba, was also in attendance.
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the award-winning Nigerian writer was the Key Speaker at the event.
