American singer-songwriter, Christopher Maurice Brown, popularly known as ‘Chris Brown’ has congratulated Osun State Governor-elect, Sen. Ademola Adeleke.
Brown is close to and has worked with Adeleke’s nephew Davido.
The US singer and the ‘OBO’ crooner worked on numerous songs together including ‘Blow My Mind’ and ‘Shopping Spree’.
The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) declared Adeleke winner of the just concluded 2022 Osun State governorship election on Sunday and Brown marked the victory by sharing a photo of the politician in a post on his Instastory on Instagram.
Adeleke polled 403,371 votes to defeat the incumbent governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola, who polled 375,027 votes.
The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) candidate won the governorship election with 28,344 votes.
Brown is also friends with several other Nigerian singers including Wizkid.
