The Police in Lagos is watching you!

If you are law-abiding, then you have no need to fear the increase of police patrols in your neighbourhood; but if you are a bad guy, then, be very afraid.

This is because the Police Command in Lagos State has increased its visibility patrols across the state to reassure the public of its dedication to fighting crime.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Lagos, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, said in a statement that the patrols had gone to Apongbon, Eko Bridge, and CMS areas.

“The routine exercise carried out on the directive of the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, will be sustained beyond the ‘Ember Months’ period,” Ajisebutu said.

Members of the public have been enjoined to cooperate with police officers who are involved in the exercise.

Ajisebutu said that the patrols were “a proactive measure to protect law-abiding residents of the state and send warning signals to kidnappers, armed robbers, cultists, miscreants and other criminal elements still prowling in the state.”
