It is now clear that Lagos may no longer announce sub-100 COVID19 new daily cases as it posted 176 on Friday night.
This fact is reinforced by the Lagos Government’s earlier prediction of 120,000 confirmed cases by July.
According to a tweet by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 396 new COVID19 cases were recorded nationwide.
The breakdown is as follows:
176-Lagos, 65-Kano, 31-Katsina, 20-FCT, 17-Borno, 15-Bauchi, 14-Nasarawa, 13-Ogun, 10-Plateau, 4-Oyo, 4-Sokoto, 4-Rivers, 3-Kaduna, 2-Edo, 2-Ebonyi, 2-Ondo, 1-Enugu, 1-Imo, 1-Gombe, 1-Osun
There are now 3912 confirmed cases of COVID19 in Nigeria out of which 679 discharged while there have been 117 deaths.
Lagos now has 1667 confirmed cases.
