Rihanna, 32, bit back at fans after they used her incredible New Year’s Eve photo to ambush her with yet more question about a new album – and she certainly put them in their place
Rihanna has hit back at fans pestering her for new music telling them to “grow up” as she posted a racy snap on Instagram.
The singer turned designed and make-up mogul wowed fans with her latest picture as she uploaded the New Year’s Eve shot of her wearing a metallic dress.
But it wasn’t just what the Umbrella hit-maker had on that grabbed the attention.
The Barbados-born beauty is clearly getting sick and tired of answering questions about when new music will be coming.
She captioned the picture: “New year’s resolution: apply the pressure”.
One fan used the post as an opportunity to ask her when finally the record will drop.
But she she snapped back at the user, saying: “This comment is sooo 2019. Grow up.”
Rihanna, 32, showed plenty of leg while standing poolside.
Back in February she reassured fans that new music is on the way, posting that she was in the studio with The Neptunes.
In an October 2020 YouTube interview with the Associated Press, Rihanna talked about what was ahead.
She said she wants to have fun with her new music but it’s still no clearer when the star will burst back onto the scene.
“We started with tons of writing camps,” she revealed. “Now it’s more what do I feel personally? What do I want to put out as an artist? How do I want to play it with my art?
“How do I want to interpret that, reimagine that? Because it’s been so structured before. You do pop, you do this genre, you do that, you do radio, you do who’s following you and your fans.
“But now, it’s just like – what makes me happy? I just want to have fun with music.”
“Everything is so heavy,” she continued. “The world that we live in, a lot is overwhelming every single day. And music, I’m using that as my outlet. I just want to have fun with that.”
“I want to go on tour but I can’t, and now I’m stuck with music that I love, and now I’m trying to to figure out how I can even create visuals to that. That’s a challenge as well, but I love challenges so you know I’ma get it done.” (Mirror)
