Mr. Idowu Oguntona, the Managing Director of Lagos Bus Services Ltd (LBSL), has declared the company’s commitment to taking the forefront in advocating sustainable and eco-friendly methods for delivering bus services to the residents of Lagos. This ambitious initiative comes in response to the rapidly evolving operational landscape for bus services in the city.
In a statement conveyed through Mr. Afolabi Olawale, the Public Affairs Officer of LBSL, Oguntona highlighted the rationale behind the company’s leading role in the Proof–Of–Concept (POC) initiative involving eco-friendly, efficient, and electric mass transit vehicles in Lagos State. He stated, “The success of the POC exercise was a result of the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders, particularly the State Government and LAMATA, who are actively championing this transformative project.”
Oguntona assured stakeholders of LBSL’s commitment to further alignment, ensuring enhanced, sustainable, and improved bus services. He expressed the company’s dedication to proactively exploring avenues for better service delivery at all touchpoints.
The managing director also pledged advancements in staff welfare, emphasizing both the physical and mental well-being of employees.
