Capital City Development Limited is actively engaging in philanthropy, extending support to the underprivileged sectors of society and giving back to the community.
Specialising in the sale of undeveloped land and developed properties, the company launched its ‘Social Impact Month’ at the onset of November, reaching out to selected communities and offering various forms of assistance including clothing, cash donations, provisions like diapers and milk for nursing mothers, and covering hospital bills, among other essentials.
Paul Nnaemeka, the Awka Branch Manager, highlighted the company’s objective during this outreach initiative, stating, “Capital City is engaged in Social Impact Month, reaching out to various areas in society that require assistance. From the start to the end of November, we extend our charitable services to places such as schools, mainly primary schools, government hospitals, and motherless babies’ homes. We provide a range of items including clothing, cash aid, diapers, and essentials like books, pens, and food items.”
He further emphasised the company’s outreach to prisons, not only providing tangible items but also delivering words of encouragement, aiming to uplift inmates emotionally, enabling them to serve their terms in a more positive environment and potentially emerge as reformed individuals.
Nnaemeka emphasised the company’s commitment to making this an annual event, spanning from October to November each year, with plans to support exceptional students by covering their school fees in the coming year. This initiative aligns with the company’s ethos of serving humanity and practicing goodwill.
He stressed, “We aim to alleviate the burdens faced by families, especially considering the challenging economic climate in Nigeria. Our efforts at hospitals aim to alleviate the financial strain on families and assist nursing mothers in caring for their infants. We strive to provide support to orphans, offering them the guidance and encouragement they need. Our focus remains on aiding those in need.”
Capital City Development, headquartered in Port Harcourt and operational across 10 states in Nigeria, replicates these charitable endeavours in various regions, exhibiting a commitment to serving society beyond commercial interests.
