President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the former Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), as his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy. The decision was communicated through a statement issued by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, on Friday in Abuja.
Furthermore, President Tinubu has also given his approval for the appointment of Ms. Delu Bulus Yakubu as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
This strategic move is part of the President’s ongoing efforts to foster a more effective and efficient working relationship between the Presidency and Federal Ministries. It involves appointing professionals who possess prior work experience within the Federal Ministries they are tasked with coordinating. Additionally, these appointees may undertake specific duties at the President’s discretion.
President Tinubu expressed his well-wishes to the newly appointed presidential aides and looks forward to their successful discharge of their responsibilities.
