Three slain by unknown gunmen

Three people were slain by unidentified shooters at Gowon Estate, in the Ipaja area, according to the police headquarters in Lagos State.

The incident was reported on Thursday by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson.

The event took place at about 11.35 p.m. on Wednesday, according to Hundeyin.

He said that the Gowon Estate Police Division had been notified by the estate’s Navy Block that several persons had been shot by unidentified assailants on 41 Road in the Union Bank Block.

Two police squads went directly to the location, according to the imagemaker.

According to Hundeyin, the patients were taken directly to Igando General Hospital, which was informed to the police at the site.

”While at the scene of the shooting, the police recovered nine expended cartridges and a bunch of keys.

“At Igando General Hospital, one unknown male corpse was recovered and evacuated to Mainland General Hospital, Yaba for preservation and autopsy.

“Further information given to the police revealed that two male corpses were taken away by their families.

”One male survivor, Doba Ngoze, is currently on admission at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba,” he said.

The representative stated that the situation was already under investigated.
