The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (LSCPWB) has commenced a sensitisation and advocacy tour of the 57 LG/LCDAs to create awareness about the activities of the Board and the proposed November/December 2021 general pilgrimage.
The Board Secretary (CPWB), Mrs. Florence Yetunde Gbafe, spoke about the upcoming exercise, noting that the advocacy was to enlighten the public about the forthcoming pilgrimage.
She expressed appreciation to God for the success of the Y2021 Easter pilgrimage to Jordan, which was the first of its kind, thanking pilgrims for the trust reposed in the Board during the tour.
Her words: “The fact that the borders of Israel were closed and we had to go to Jordan and also conduct COVID-19 test on each and every intending Pilgrim did not discourage you from going with us is a sign that you believe in us”.
Reiterating that the pilgrimage is a total package that takes care of both the physical and spiritual welfare of participants, the Board Secretary solicited more patronage and referrals from citizens.
The sensitisation exercise, which commenced on Wednesday, 6th October 2021, in Mushin, Isolo, Oshodi and Ejigbo LGs, is scheduled to hold in all Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas.
