Lagos State Government announces four-week traffic diversion plan for Thomas Ajufo to Sheraton Link Bridge reconstruction

In an official statement released on Sunday, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, revealed that the traffic diversion plan for the reconstruction of the Thomas Ajufo inwards Sheraton Link Bridge axis will be in effect for four weeks. The diversion, which is necessitated by the ongoing construction of the Opebi Link Bridge, will commence on October 16.

During this period, alternative routes will be made available to motorists and other road users. For those travelling towards Opebi Road, one side of the Opebi Road carriageway will remain accessible, as the construction requires the closure of the second lane. Motorists en route to Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way from Allen Avenue/Toyin Street will be directed to utilise Toyin Street, connecting via Ola Ayinde Street to access Ikeja Under Bridge and continue their journeys.

Osiyemi stressed the importance of motorists adhering to traffic signs and the guidance of relevant traffic management authorities to ensure the uninterrupted flow of traffic during this period.
