Club offers Wilfried Zaha £9m-a-year contract for free transfer

Al-Ittihad, a club in Saudi Arabia, is said to have made a huge offer to buy Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace.

The Daily Mail says that the Ivory Coast player, whose contract at Selhurst Park is almost up and who could leave for free in the summer, has been offered a contract worth an incredible £9 million a year.

Zaha is a good talent on his day and has had a fine career in the Premier League, however he notably failed in a period at Manchester United as a kid.

It would be unfortunate if Zaha was never given the opportunity to test himself against a big six side again, but it is unclear whether this substantial offer from Saudi Arabia will be enough to convince him to leave England.

If Zaha does not sign a new contract with Palace, there will undoubtedly be suitors in the Premier League in the coming months who could persuade him to stay a little longer.

According to the Mail, Al Nassr, who recently signed Cristiano Ronaldo, had previously expressed interest in Zaha.
