Watch that Lagos traffic hold-up, travellers told

An advisory from Bi-Courtney Aviation Services, managers of Terminal 2 at the Murtala Mohammed Airport (MMA2) have warned travellers that they risk missing their flights if they are caught up in a Lagos traffic snarl.

For this reason, intending travellers are advised to plan their trips well ahead of time.

Bi-Courtney’s Corporate Affairs Manager, Mr Mikail Mumuni, who gave the advice in a statement issued on Wednesday in Lagos, noted the increase in gridlocks around the Lagos airport and within the Lagos metropolis.

Mumuni, in the advisory, said the traffic situation in Lagos had degenerated to such a deplorable level in recent times that businesses, commuters and passengers had been adversely affected.

He attributed the long traffic snarls to the ongoing construction works being embarked upon by the Lagos State Government.

Mumuni noted that travellers were not factoring in traffic snarls before setting out for the airport and many had consequently missed their flights.

He then advised that passengers should set out well ahead of time, factoring in the traffic snarls.
